Rob was the consultant on call when I was admitted with an MI. He was kind, gentle, funny and reassuring. It gave me a glimpse of how he must treat all his patients, I don't think I was any different because we were also consultant colleagues. He will be missed by many and I have thought of his family a lot over the last week. I know I will be one of many who feel that we have lost an exceptional human being.
