Thinking of Rob's wife and children. So sad to hear of his tragic death. He was a much loved consultant in Cardiology, always happy and smiling and always had time to talk and say 'morning ladies'. We will remember his tales which made us laugh and he loved any chocolate biscuits or cake that might be on offer on his way through our department. He will be sadly missed.

Rob was more than a doctor; he was a beacon of kindness and compassion, always wearing a warm smile and making time for everyone. His patients adored him for the genuine care he offered, and his colleagues valued his uplifting spirit and constant support. His absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy of warmth, empathy, and dedication to others will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed beyond words. Sending lots of love to his family and those who knew him.

I worked as a first year junior doctor with Dr Sapsford over 10 years ago. I remember vividly his kindness and approachability, such is the impact he had on everyone around him.

Your kindness to everyone, including all your patients as well as your colleagues who are all going to miss you so much . You will always be part of our Cath Lab Team wherever you are . I only met Rob Sapsford a few times over a short clinical placement during medical school about ten years ago. The sadness I felt when I saw that he had died is testament to his warmth and his enthusiasm for teaching.

Rob will be remembered as the kindest of men. He was unfailingly warm and generous with his time. He had time and a warm word for everybody. Over his career he touched the lives of thousands: not just his patients (who loved him) but also countless colleagues in all disciplines. He has guided and mentored generations of young doctors. Rob leaves his wife and his two children. The thoughts of the whole Cardiology team are with them.
